Service Contract

SITE SERVICE, MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION OF GAS CONTROL EQUIPMENT USED WITH COMPRESSED GAS CYLINDERS
Freshford offer an on site service, maintenance and inspection contract designed to meet H&SE requirements for both industry and education. The scheme, which complies with the BCGA Codes of Practice and the Pressure System and Transportable Gas Containers Regulations 1989, includes:
An agreement between Freshford and the customer of the scope of the contract required from the available services offered below.
An assessment of all equipment, spares or stock to be included in the service or maintenance schedule.
A report of the findings including brief notes on the general condition of the equipment and potential problem areas.
An audit of each item of equipment to be included in the scheme, allocating individual reference numbers for our database and the customer’s logbook. The detail recorded will include location, type, make, gas service, pressure range, standards to which the equipment complies and any service history.
A report detailing any requirements, service or replacements necessary under H&SE regulations, BCGA Codes of Practice and the manufacturer’s recommendations will be provided. The report will take account of the local conditions in which the equipment is being used.
A written scheme of examination for cylinder regulators and manifold equipment used on/with compressed gas cylinders to enable operators to undertake their weekly/monthly tasks of visual inspection as required by the Regulations
On completion of any work to bring the equipment up to the required standards, the database will be updated with a copy forwarded to the customer along with information scheduling the next service, re-test dates etc.
If required, Freshford will take full responsibility for maintaining records, service and maintenance.
Freshford can provide basic training for operators/technicians in the safe use of gas control equipment, cylinder handling and inspection.
